NexyBay Home Records respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how NexyBay Home Records, referred to as “NexyBay,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” handles information when you visit home.nexybay.com, use the NexyBay Home Records application, purchase a Plus license, or contact us for support.
Household records stay in your browser
NexyBay Home Records is designed as a local-first application. During normal use, the household records you create are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device.
Your household inventory, descriptions, documents, contacts, attachments, reports, and backup contents are not automatically uploaded to our website or licensing server.
Your records remain under your control unless you deliberately share them with another person or include them in a message sent to us. Please do not send sensitive household records, passwords, financial information, identification documents, or backup files through the Support & Feedback form unless specifically requested through a secure support process.
Clearing browser data, resetting the browser, removing the browser profile, or losing access to the device may erase locally stored records. Backup files that you create are stored wherever you choose to save them and remain under your control.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the website and application.
Website and technical information
When you visit the website, our hosting, security, caching, and related service providers may automatically process technical information such as:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser and device type
- Operating system
- Pages requested
- Date and time of access
- Referring page
- Error and security-event information
- Cookie and session identifiers
This information may be used to operate the website, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, improve performance, and protect the website and its visitors.
Purchase and order information
When you purchase NexyBay Home Records Plus, WooCommerce may collect and store information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Billing address
- Phone number, when requested or provided
- Product purchased
- Order amount and status
- Order and transaction identifiers
- Selected payment method
- Information needed for fraud prevention, payment confirmation, refunds, accounting, and customer support
Guest checkout is enabled. Customers are not required or permitted to create a regular website account through checkout or the My Account page.
Payment information
Payments are processed by the payment provider selected at checkout. Available payment methods may include PayPal, credit or debit cards, Venmo, Pay Later, Google Pay, or other methods made available by the payment provider.
The payment provider may receive your name, email address, billing information, purchase amount, transaction information, device information, and other information needed to process, secure, or support the transaction.
We do not intentionally store your complete payment-card number or card security code on our website. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy policies and terms.
License information
When a Plus license is issued, activated, recovered, or validated, our licensing system may process and store:
- A hashed license identifier
- An encrypted, recoverable copy of the license key
- Associated WooCommerce order and product identifiers
- Customer email address
- License status
- Creation, activation, validation, expiration, revocation, and related dates, when applicable
- Validation count and related licensing activity
License activation and validation may send the license key and application version to the licensing server.
The licensing system does not receive your household inventory, documents, contacts, attachments, reports, or backup contents.
License-recovery requests may use information such as your email address and order number to locate the corresponding license. Recovery responses may be deliberately generic to reduce the risk of revealing whether a particular email address or order exists.
Support and feedback information
When you use the Support & Feedback form, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Selected topic
- Message contents
- Technical information needed for spam and security protection
Support-form submissions are sent by email to the site administrator. The theme does not store these submissions in a separate WordPress database table, although the message may remain in our email system while it is needed to provide support and maintain appropriate business records.

We may use collected information to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website and application
- Process purchases, payments, refunds, and order-related communications

We do not sell your household records or use the contents of your household records for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
The website and application may use cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies.
NexyBay Home Records uses browser local storage to keep household records, application settings, and related application information on your device.
The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies for:
- Shopping-cart and checkout sessions
- Payment processing
- Security and fraud prevention
- Spam protection
- Remembering necessary website or application settings
- Website performance and caching
Payment providers and security services may also set or read cookies or process device and interaction information under their own privacy policies.
You can restrict cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may prevent the application, shopping cart, checkout, payment features, licensing functions, or other parts of the website from working correctly.
Spam and security protection
The website may use automated spam, fraud, and abuse-prevention services, including reCAPTCHA or similar technology. These services may process device, browser, network, and interaction information to determine whether activity appears legitimate.
Information processed by these services is governed by the applicable provider’s privacy policy and terms.
Caching and website performance
The website uses LiteSpeed Cache and may use related caching or content-delivery services, including QUIC.cloud when enabled, to improve speed, reliability, and security.
These services may temporarily process or store cached website content and technical request information. Household records stored locally inside the NexyBay Home Records application are not intentionally included in public website cache files.
How we share information
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Payment processors and payment-method providers
- Website hosting and infrastructure providers
- Email and customer-support service providers
- Security, fraud-prevention, and spam-protection providers
- Caching and content-delivery providers
- Professional advisers such as accountants, legal advisers, or insurers
- Government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, prevent fraud, or respond to a legal process
- A successor or acquiring organization in connection with a legitimate merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of business assets
These providers may process information only according to their own terms, privacy policies, legal obligations, and the services they provide to us.
We do not sell personal information or household records to advertisers.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, support, and licensing requirements.
Our current WooCommerce order-retention settings are:
- Pending orders: 7 days
- Failed orders: 30 days
- Cancelled orders: 30 days
- Refunded orders: 7 years
- Completed orders: 7 years
WooCommerce may move expired pending, failed, or cancelled orders to Trash. Personal information in completed or refunded orders may later be anonymized according to the configured retention process while preserving non-personal sales statistics.
License records may be retained for the life of the license and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary to provide license validation and recovery, prevent misuse, maintain transaction records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Support correspondence may be retained for as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate support history, protect against abuse, and satisfy business or legal requirements.
Technical logs and security records may be retained according to the operational and security needs of our website and service providers.
Household records stored in your browser remain there until you delete them, clear the applicable browser storage, remove the browser profile, reset the application, or lose access to the device. Backup files remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete them.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold about you, including the right to request:
- Access to your personal information
- Correction of inaccurate information
- A copy or export of certain information
- Deletion or anonymization of eligible information
- Information about how your information is used or shared
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately when it must be retained for accounting, tax, payment disputes, fraud prevention, license administration, security, contractual, or legal purposes.
Deleting information stored by our website does not automatically delete household records or backups stored locally on your own device. You control those records through the application, browser, device, and backup locations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information under our control. However, no website, browser, storage system, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, browser profile, license key, downloaded backups, and any password used to encrypt a backup.
Children’s privacy
NexyBay Home Records is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us to request review and removal.
International processing
Our website and service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your place of residence.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our application, website, payment methods, service providers, or legal obligations change.
When we make changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the website or application after an updated policy is posted is subject to the revised policy.
