NexyBay Home Records Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026

This policy explains information handled through the NexyBay Home Records website, customer account, purchases, Home Records dashboard, Backup & Sync, email verification, optional passkeys, and support services.

1. Working Home Records data

The working copy of household inventory, documents, contacts, maintenance information, photos, receipts, and uploaded files is stored in the browser profile being used. This browser data is controlled by the customer’s device and browser settings.

2. Backup & Sync

Plus customers may turn on Backup & Sync to keep an encrypted online copy. Records and uploaded files are encrypted and protected as part of the customer’s NexyBay account. NexyBay stores the encrypted copy and limited operational information such as the customer account, storage size, revision number, and timestamps needed to operate backup, restore, and synchronization.

Access to a protected copy requires signing in to the associated NexyBay account, and a new browser or device also requires a six-digit verification code sent to the account email address. No online system is guaranteed to be risk-free, and customers remain responsible for protecting their account password and account email access.

3. Email verification and optional passkeys

When Home Records does not recognize the browser or device being used, NexyBay sends a six-digit verification code to the account email address. NexyBay may store the fact that a code was requested, when it was used or expired, and related security information needed to protect the account. Customers do not need to approve one browser from another, scan a QR code, or compare pairing words.

A passkey is optional. A customer who adds one may create it through a browser, device, phone, or credential manager, and NexyBay stores the passkey credential identifier, public key, public configuration values, timestamps, and related security information needed to recognize and verify it. NexyBay does not receive the passkey’s private credential, fingerprint, facial image, or device PIN. Declining a passkey does not limit Backup & Sync; email verification continues to work on its own.

4. Customer accounts

NexyBay may store account information such as name, email address, password hash maintained by WordPress, account status, plan, and security or service timestamps. Password-reset emails are sent to the account email address.

5. Orders and payments

WooCommerce and the selected payment provider process checkout and payment activity. PayPal or another payment service processes payment credentials. NexyBay does not store card numbers, bank-account numbers, PayPal passwords, or saved customer payment methods.

NexyBay may retain order information such as customer name and email, billing details entered at checkout, product, amount, payment status, refund status, order notes, and payment transaction references needed for access delivery, accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and support.

6. Plus access

Plus entitlement is connected to the purchasing NexyBay account. The service may process account, order, product, status, and access information to provide, validate, repair, revoke, or restore paid access.

7. Support and communications

The Support & Feedback form can collect a name, email address, selected topic, and message. These submissions are sent by email to NexyBay. Customers should not send household records, passwords, protected files, card or bank details, or other sensitive information through support.

8. Technical and security information

The website and hosting environment may process normal technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, security events, error logs, cookies, session information, verification-code and passkey security counters, and device or browser access status needed to operate, protect, diagnose, and improve the service.

9. Retention

Account, order, transaction, support, security, and business records are retained only as reasonably needed for service delivery, legal obligations, accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and business records. Protected online copies remain until replaced, removed through the service, erased through an applicable privacy process, or deleted under NexyBay’s retention practices.

10. Service providers

NexyBay uses service providers such as hosting, WordPress, WooCommerce, email delivery, PayPal, payment services, browsers, operating systems, and optional passkey credential managers. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

11. Privacy requests

Customers may use available account and WordPress privacy tools or contact NexyBay through the Support & Feedback page to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Some order and transaction records may need to be retained for legal or business purposes.

12. Changes

This policy may be updated as Home Records changes. The effective date will be revised when an updated policy is published.

Keep a separate backup

Local browser data can be lost when browser data is cleared, profiles change, or a device fails. Keep a current backup somewhere separate and protected.
