These answers explain the most important things to understand before creating household records or purchasing Plus.
What is NexyBay Home Records?
It is a website-based dashboard for organizing household inventory, documents, warranties, maintenance, contacts, reports, exports, and protected online copies in one place.
What is included in Starter?
Starter includes the complete Home Records dashboard with up to 10 inventory items. Documents, contacts, maintenance records, reports, and spreadsheet exports remain available. Starter does not expire. Its working records remain in the browser profile being used. Backup & Sync is a Plus feature, so Starter does not include an online copy.
What does Home Records Plus unlock?
Plus removes the 10-item inventory limit and includes account-connected Backup & Sync. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
What happens when I reach 10 items?
Home Records pauses creation or duplication of additional inventory items until Plus is active. Existing items remain available to view, edit, delete, report, and export.
How do I create an account?
Enter your name and email on the branded account page. NexyBay emails a secure link for setting your first password. The same account is used for purchases, Home Records access, and Backup & Sync.
What happens if I forget my account password?
Use Reset Password on the NexyBay account page. A secure reset link is sent to the account email address. Customers who have created a passkey may also use the passkey option offered on sign-in.
What happens after I purchase Plus?
Plus connects automatically to the NexyBay account used for checkout. Sign in with that account and open Home Records. Nothing extra needs to be entered after purchase.
Where are my working records stored?
Your working records are stored in the browser profile you use. Plus customers can also keep an encrypted online copy through Backup & Sync.
How are my online records protected?
Your records are encrypted and protected as part of your NexyBay account. Opening them requires signing in to your account, and a new browser or device also has to be verified with a six-digit code sent to your account email.
How do I turn on Backup & Sync?
Open Backup & Sync and select Turn On Backup & Sync. That is the whole setup. There is no separate backup password, recovery phrase, or QR code to create, save, or write down.
Is a passkey required?
No. After Backup & Sync is on, Home Records may offer Add a Passkey as a faster way to verify it is you. You can choose Not now and keep using email verification. You do not need a passkey-capable device.
How do I open Home Records in another browser?
Sign in to the same NexyBay account as usual. Home Records emails a six-digit code, you enter it to confirm it is really you, and your latest backup loads automatically. The browser at home does not need to be open.
Do I need to approve the new browser from my old one?
No. There is nothing to approve from another browser, no QR code to scan, and no pairing words to compare. Signing in and entering the emailed six-digit code is all that is needed.
What should I do on a work or shared computer?
Sign in, enter the emailed code, use Home Records, then sign out and close the private or shared session when you finish. Each new browser is verified by email again the next time.
What happens if I clear browser data?
Clearing site data can remove the working copy from that browser. A Plus customer can sign in again, enter the six-digit code sent by email, and the latest backup loads automatically.
Can I use Home Records on a phone or tablet?
Home Records can be opened in supported modern browsers. Email verification works the same everywhere, and an optional passkey can be added on devices that support one.
Are Plus purchases refundable?
Digital purchases are generally final after access is delivered. The Refund Policy explains limited exceptions for duplicate charges, unresolved delivery or access failures, material software defects, and rights required by law.
